Who makes Cal Australia?
Cal, your coach for the citizenship test. Made by a small independent team in Prague.
What we do
The guide, Our Common Bond, is free from Home Affairs. We turn it into practice that sticks: our own questions, each with its page in the guide, and a public correction when we get something wrong.
The practice test on this website and all its explanations are free. In the app, the first lesson of each Part and Practice test 1 with all its answers stay free too. The Full plan is one payment of $19.99, no subscription. It pays for checking every question again when the guide changes. Thank you.
Sources and corrections
Every question comes from Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond, testable section (PDF), Parts 1 to 4. We use the edition naming King Charles III (PDF of 3 November 2024), last checked 5 Oct 2026. Page numbers are book pages; the PDF page is two higher. For the test rules we use the Department of Home Affairs page Learn about the citizenship test.
How we check answers
Each question is written from a quoted line of the guide. Before it goes live, two separate checks answer it without seeing our answer: one reads only the guide, the other also checks current government websites. A question goes live only when both give our answer, find exactly one right option, and see no problem. When we change a question, it goes through both checks again.
Corrections
No corrections yet. When we change an answer after it went live, it is listed here with the date and the reason.

Learning content is based on Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond (testable section), © Commonwealth of Australia 2020, licensed under CC BY 4.0. We wrote our own questions and explanations from it; changes were made.
